MODULE 10 –

Capstone Studio: Transition Roadmap & Implementation Plan

Estimated time: 6โ€“8 hours | Format: Team Project + Peer Review

Capstone Brief

Develop a sector or city-scale transition roadmap to 2040 with an actionable 5-year implementation plan. Integrate systems thinking, policy mixes, finance, circular design, equity, and metrics.

Minimum Deliverables

  • Vision & Targets: clear end-state, interim milestones, and guardrails (e.g., no-regrets principles).
  • System Map: actors, lock-ins, leverage points, and risk register.
  • Portfolio of Actions: technology + demand-side + nature-based + governance reforms.
  • Finance Plan: capex/opex, funding stack (public, private, blended), de-risking tools.
  • Just Transition Plan: workforce pathways, community benefits, engagement timeline.
  • MRV & Learning: indicators, review cycle, adaptive management triggers.

Green Growths Learning Approach

How This Course Works

Scientific + Practical

Each module pairs scientific foundations with real-world cases. Activities emphasize evidence-based decisions with contextual judgment.

Interdisciplinary

We bridge engineering, policy, economics, and designโ€”mirroring how transitions occur in the real world.

Project-Based

Assignments feed into your final roadmap. Expect iteration, critique, and refinement.

Expert Insights

Guest perspectives (academia & industry) are woven into modules to stress test assumptions and expose trade-offs.
